Despite an overall strong effort the Power in Power City was missing in a 4-0 defeat to Blythe Academy at Hyde Park Ice Pavillon this morning to open their Thanksgiving Day tournament.
Cody Schoen stopped 20 of 23 shots, including a great glove save stopping a 2-on-1 in the second and a sprawling stick save on a deflected shot in the third.
AJ McCune and Hayden Hockaday led the offensive effort with four shots each. Carter Winiarski also added three shots. Jack Boddecker and Dario Savard each blocked three shots, and Brody Hockaday led the physical charge with nine hits.
The Bruins don't have long to dwell on this game as they are back on the ice at 7:45pm against the Clarington Toros, who were victorious in their opening game by a 16-0 count.
