The Power City Bruins dominated play for over half the game, limiting the Devils 14U Premier team to 3 shots in the final 23 minutes of the game.  However one of their earlier shots found the net off a defenseman stick which was the difference in the game, 1-0 for the Devils.

Goaltender RJ Turner was again solid in the crease, turning aside 17 of 18 shots and keeping the Bruins in the game until they found their legs.  And find them they did, outshooting the Devils 29-18.

Several Bruins had grade A scoring chances but failed to convert.  Nearly every Bruin recorded at least one shot on goal, however the Devils netminder was up to every task in this physical contest.

Both Hayden and Brody Hockaday lead the physicality with 6 and 5 hits, respectively.  Special teams were a mixed bag for the Bruins, going a perfect 3-for-3 on the penalty kill but failing to connect on three power play attempts.

Bruins forward Chase Newell returned to the game late in the first half after sliding hard into the boards after taking a hit entering the offensive zone.

Despite the loss, the Bruins enter elimination Sunday at the top seed based on goal differential.  No team escaped the Bantam A group undefeated in what has truly been a balanced division. Any of the remaining four teams has a chance to take home the championship.

The Bruins will take on the Main Moose @ 10:30am, while the Devils draw the Connecticut Riverhawks at 11:20am.  The championship game will be played at 2:10pm.
