Brody Hockaday notched his first hat trick of the season and AJ McCune posted four points, pushing the Power City Bruins past the Hamburg Hawks, 8-2.

Joey Kinder, Hayden Hockaday, and Jack Boddecker also scored for the Bruins, who outshot the visiting Hawks, 38-13.  Every Bruins dressed for the game had at least one shot on goal.  McCune led the way with six attempts, with both Hockaday's and Dario Savard right behind with five.  McCune and defenseman Vance Graham lead the way with two assists each.

Power City's strong forecheck led to at least three goals on turnovers and pinned the Hawks back for most of the game, making for a relatively easy night for goaltender Cody Schoen.  The Bruins backstop was not called on often, making 12 saves - however there were a few point blank stops at 5-2 to keep the Hawks from getting back into the game.

Carter Winiarski led the way physically with five hits, and Kinder's all around game was on full display finishing a plus five.  The Bruins went 2-for-2 on the penalty kill and finished 1-for-4 with the man advantage, with the only blemish a short handed goal allowed in the second period.

After a few practices in the coming week, the Bruins next game action will be next weekend during the Columbus Day Tournament at Hyde Park Ice Pavilion.
