Aiden Loncar snapped home a power play goal and RJ Turner made 17 saves - including a sprawling paddle save with about 2 minutes remaining - leading the Power City Bruins past the Wild Hockey Club, 2-1, in the opening game of the Haunted Shootout at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, MA.

AJ McCune got the puck deep to Joey Kinder, who circled behind the net and found Loncar in the slot.  Working his way to open space, Kinder found Loncar for the game winner early in the second half.

The Wild opened the scoring on a tic-tac-toe play in front of the net to take the lead.  Less than a minute later, Hayden Hockaday broke down the middle and threw a backhand on goal, which caught the Wild keeper under the blocker and into the net for the equalizer.

It was a tight game throughout well played by both teams.  Shots ended in favor of the Bruins, 20 to 18.  Kinder led the way physically with three hits, while Dario Savard and Kamden Proper posted the teams three blocks, two and one, respectively.

The Bruins are back at it for a double header tomorrow at the New England Sports Center.  First puck drop is at 1:30pm against West Haven AA, followed by 8pm against the Devils 14u Premier.
